Job Summary:

To fix, repair, troubleshoot and maintain equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and electrical throughout CHC buildings.

Primary Responsibilities and Specific Duties:

  • Performs minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, maintenance, and repairs to CHC facilities/buildings.
  • Maintains, repairs, and moves CHC furniture and equipment within and between centers.
  • Inspects plumbing, electrical, and small appliances and arranges for repairs when necessary.
  • Identifies areas in need of repair and informs supervisor to arrange the use of outside contractors for related work outside the scope of this position.
  • Conducts and completes the Facility Inspection Checklist monthly and submits to supervisor.
  • Responsible for maintaining and monitoring the upkeep of the CHC company vehicles, such as, but not limited to oil change, rotating tires, and overall vehicle appearance, as well as all other CHC facilities equipment.
  • Ensures storage and sheds/garages are maintained.
  • Performs some small electrical tasks.
  • Performs some small plumbing tasks, such as clearing clogged drains, and replacing plumbing fixtures.
  • May fill in for Courier as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Some trade school preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1-year related work experience required.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

  • Current and valid State of Florida driver's license required.

Other requirements:

  • Able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Required to travel to all CHC locations.
