Human Resources Generalist - Internal HR Employees Only

Primary Responsibilities and Specific Duties:

Recruitment:

  • Manages full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring candidates for open positions as assigned, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Builds strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and deliver high-quality candidates.
  • Utilizes a variety of recruitment methods, including job boards, social media, employee referrals.
  • Screens resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, and coordinate subsequent interviews with hiring managers.
  • Sources candidates through a variety of channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, career fairs, and partnerships with universities or community partners.
  • Proactively build and maintain a talent pipeline for future hiring needs by establishing relationships with potential candidates and industry professionals.
  • Develops and post engaging job advertisements that align with the CHC's culture and attract diverse, high-quality candidates.
  • Coordinates and manages pre-employment screening processes such as background checks, reference checks, and offer letters.
  • Tracks and analyzes recruitment metrics (time to fill, source of hire, candidate quality, etc.) to continuously improve recruitment efforts.
  • Maintains relationships with potential candidates and conduct ongoing engagement activities to ensure a steady flow of talent.
  • Stays current on recruitment trends, technologies, and best practices to implement innovative solutions for attracting top talent.

Compensation:

  • Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of compensation programs, ensuring they are competitive and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conducts market research and salary benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation structures across all departments and positions.
  • Revises pay structures based on internal equity, market trends, and organizational objectives.
  • Analyzes compensation data to create detailed reports and provide strategic recommendations to leadership for compensation adjustments.
  • Completes salary surveys and reviews results to ensure alignment with CHC goals, industry standards, and compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g., FLSA, EEO).
  • Collaborates with HR leadership to address compensation-related concerns, ensures consistency in pay practices.
  • Monitors compensation trends, laws, and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and recommend necessary updates to compensation policies.

Social Media:

  • Manages and develops content for HR-related social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.).
  • Drives social media recruitment campaigns to attract candidates and promotes CHC's culture.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to ensure alignment with the CHC's brand, mission, vision and values and monitoring engagement metrics.

Job Descriptions:

  • Develops, maintains, and updates job descriptions across the organization.
  • Partners with department leaders to ensure job descriptions are accurate and reflective of current roles and responsibilities.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements related to job descriptions and classifications.

Internships, Externships, and College/High School Programs:

  • Works closely with HR leaders to establish internships, externships, and early career talent programs, including those targeting college and high school students. This includes:
    • Building partnerships with local colleges, universities, and high schools to source talent and promote career opportunities within the company.
    • Coordinating outreach programs to increase the company's visibility among early career talent, including attending career fairs and participating in networking events.
    • Tracking the performance and development of participants in internship and externship programs, ensuring alignment with both educational goals and organizational objectives.
    • Fostering long-term relationships with academic institutions to ensure a steady pipeline of high-potential talent for future roles.
    • Conducts new hire file audits and quality checks to ensure compliance and accuracy in HR processes.
    • Tracks and reports on key recruitment metrics such as time to fill and candidate experience.
    • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

    Experience:

    • 2-4 years of experience in HR with a focus on compensation, recruitment preferred.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Familiarity with HRIS and compensation analysis tools.
    • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
    • Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
    • Solid understanding of compensation structures and best practices.
    • Experience managing social media campaigns for talent acquisition.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and computer literacy.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and HRIS systems.
    • Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment.
    • Maintain knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends.
    • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
    • Demonstrates effective group presentation skills and facilitating leadership development.
