Job Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant functions as a collaborative member of the health care team in the delivery of comprehensive health and health maintenance to patients in ambulatory settings. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant provides out-patient comprehensive primary care service including preventive and health maintenance services, acute and chronic care, clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Applicants who graduated on or after October 1, 1998, must have completed requirements for a Master's degree or post-Master's degree certification
  • Applicants who graduated prior to October 1, 1998, are exempt from above requirement
  • Graduates from either a certificate or currently closed program should submit supporting documentation that demonstrates program compliance with Board guidelines.

Experience:

  • Three to five years of experience preferred

Certification/Licensure:

  • Current certificate issued by ANCC and/or or AANP or eligible
  • Active Florida license required
  • DEA license preferred
  • BLS certification required

Other requirements:

  • Commitment and ability to keep up to date with scientific and technological developments/literature.
  • Able to work flexible hours as assigned.
  • Able to work at other CHC locations as assigned.
